We want to commoditize organic and fresh produce and make them available to all regardless of their socio-economic status. Our slogan ‘We Serve What You Deserve’ clearly reflects our core business objective. To begin with, milk procured directly from a group of farmers was tested, chilled, packed and delivered to 30+ households in and around Maduranthagam. The news spread around, and there was a constant surge in demand from many parts of Chennai, and currently, UzhavarBumi is delivering to 2500+ households across 100+ localities. And over the last three years, UzhavarBumi has made rapid strides as Vetri’s vision to make pure, nutritious milk available to the public at large has had a positive impact on 200+ farmers and 25+ Women Self-Help Groups.

FreshWorld is an enterprising start-up company that has pioneered the ‘’Farm to Home’ concept by organising fruits and vegetables retailing in a distinctive street vending format and employing eco-friendly delivery mechanisms. FreshWorld has taken the best aspects of the street vending format and modernized them using innovation and technology, giving customers a professional, organized and cost-effective alternative. The freshness of the produce, coupled with ‘touch and feel ‘as well as ‘pick and choose’ format of purchase enables customers to get a unique shopping experience at their doorstep which is usually only available in supermarkets. There is transparency in pricing and customers are provided with an automated digital bill for every purchase.

Farmers Fresh Zone, a Kochi-based Agri-tech Startup, is creating a new path in the marketing of organic vegetables produced by small-scale farmers in five districts of Kerala. The company offers the 200+ farmers in this network an online platform to sell their produce without the intervention of middlemen, thereby ensuring a reasonable price for the produce. Farmers Fresh Zone was founded by Pradeep PS, a graduate in computer science. Coming from an agriculture background, Pradeep realized the need for proper marketing of agriculture produce when he noticed some of his family members themselves were finding it difficult to sell their produce at a reasonable price. This prompted Pradeep to explore the possibilities of e-commerce for marketing the produce of farmers. Thus was born Farmers Fresh Zone. Farmers from Thrissur, Idukki, Pathanamthitta, Palakkad and Wayanad are now part of this network. The company also conducts market studies and alerts farmers regarding the prices. This helps them to produce what customers are looking for. Through door delivery and sale through outlets, products are delivered to the customer within 24 hours of harvesting, doing away with the need for cold storage or freezer facilities. Currently, the company is reaching out to 10,000 customers in Kochi city alone through door delivery and four outlets.
